Reduced mileage week

7 miles

TM speedwork. 6 x 400 meters a little faster than 5K pace with roughly 200 meters jog in between. Then one 1600 meters at 5K pace.

For whatever reason, the song Scenario by A Tribe Called Quest (I know this is dating me) seemed to have the perfect beat today. I must have replayed it a dozen of times. Funny!

Happy Monday!! :)

Mark~

I'm not running Boston. :(

Didn't register in time. :(

Ogden is what I am gearing up for. :)

From Huans32 on Mon, Apr 11, 2011 at 12:20:42 from 138.64.8.53

Ah sorry to hear that. I thought for sure you were going to Boston. Guess I should of been checking the blog a bit more often then I have been.

Ogden will be good for you though too. I am only signed up for Ogden half right now with Kristi. Will see how that will go for us. It will be a PW for sure but should be fun with the wife though.

So, did you decide to run the SL Half?

From Smooth on Mon, Apr 11, 2011 at 13:36:09 from 67.2.74.200

Speedwork on a Monday after 3 consecutive 70+ miles weeks! You must be on top of the world! :)

From Andy on Mon, Apr 11, 2011 at 14:27:48 from 199.190.170.24

This recovery week is very important to your training. Be sure to take it easy. Either I am not old enough or cool enough to have any idea who A Tribe Called Quest is.

From Rhett on Mon, Apr 11, 2011 at 17:43:26 from 173.84.238.241

Enjoy the reduced mileage.

Mark~

Hope to see you at Ogden!!! :)

Tim~

Thanks!!! Mondays are too bad, are they?

Matt~

I think so. I still need to register. Maybe I will do that right now. :)

SSF~

Or maybe I just wanted to get it out of the way!!! :) Are you getting so so so excited for Boston? I am getting very excited for you! :) :) :) LLL LLL LLL

Andy~

C'mon Andy. This allowed Busta Rhymes to really prove himself! :) Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-28zxHVFMAU

And ... I will heed your advice this week! :)

Rhett~

I will!!! You enjoy your down week as well. You have a big dance one week from today!! :)

Nice run Teena,

I am with Andy though I didn't know the group. I can't listen to it now, I am at work with James and it is very quite in here. Music might just be too much for them.

"Scenario by A Tribe Called Quest (I know this is dating me)" Yes you are... younger than many/most of us.

Kathie, Play it loud and proud!

From glidergirl on Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 00:43:54 from 155.97.238.134

You doing OK Teena? Did you register for SL? Hope you're doing well!

From watchmerun on Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 00:52:08 from 24.10.152.45

KristyAnn and I just listed to Scenario by A Tribe Called Quest on youtube. Wow. That is some absolute rotten music. Hahahaha We only lasted 15 seconds. KristyAnn said, and I quote, "She listened to that 10 times? Why, was she trying to melt her brain?" I'm sorry, but we are old farts. The new fangled kiddie music just doesn't do it for us. Hahahahaha. Of course, KristyAnn's favorite artist from the 80s, Debbie Gibson, is a real authentic gem as well. Walk like an Egyptian by the Bangles is a runner up classic in her music library.

From DaleG on Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 01:27:40 from 67.2.18.7

Ha Ha Ha!!! I had no idea what song that was, so I checked it out on YouTube. Oddly enough, I always say that first part of the song to the kids whenever we go somewhere. "Here we go yo, here we go yo..." And that's no joke, I REALLY do say that.

From Teena Marie on Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 11:32:12 from 67.2.100.158

Kathie~

You should definitely download it to your ipod for Boston!!! :) :) :) (Did you end up taking your laptop?)

Fly~

You just made my day!!!!! :) :) :)

Brooke~

Yep, doing fine. Just taking an easy week. It's weird, because my easy week makes me feel blah and tired. I thought it would be the inverse. Who knew?? Also, I did sign up for the SL Half. I have no idea how it will go, but need to be there anyway to run the last 6.2 of the full marathon with my SIL (it is is her first). I am mostly looking forward to her race! :)

Matt~

Like a dagger to my heart. OUCH!!! I can't believe you and KristyAnn don't like the song!!!! It totally takes me back. Did you guys ever get into the "Breakin'" movies? I LOVED them! My first major crush was on one of my Dad's innercity boy scouts. His name was Kenyatta. He was a b-boy and had mad breakin' skills. As for Debbie Gibson ... oh man, I had her cassette, too!! Go figure!!! :) :) :)

Dale~

You must be a natural!!! Here we go, yo ... here we go, yo!!! :) :) :)

From Scott Wesemann on Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 15:48:13 from 66.239.250.209

Oh that is a great song. I need to check that one out again. I'm old too :)

From Scott Wesemann on Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 15:51:55 from 66.239.250.209

Wait, maybe that came out wrong. Not saying you're old or anything ;)

From Teena Marie on Thu, Apr 14, 2011 at 16:30:01 from 67.2.100.158

Scott~

FINALLY someone with great taste!!! :) :) :) (Neither of us are old ... we have many moons before that happens!)

SSF~

Ry HATES his cast. It drives him CRAZY!!!! 5 more weeks though. LLL LLL LLL
