10 miles, AP 8:38

82 degrees when I left, 88 when I got home. Trying to acclimate to the heat with not much success. It drains me. Ran the new entrance to the parkway. It is fun to enter the parkway on it ... but not so much fun to exit. :)

Windy and hot. Drank lots. Left lower leg kinda icky but not horrible. I'm playing a bit with fire here ... trying to toe the line without crossing over. Come on sweet leg ... hang in there, baby! :)

I know I'm not one to give/take advice well, but if you feel like you're playing with fire I would nix the run or x-train this week. No use running yourself into the ground for a race that you don't 'need', but just 'want'. I guess that is my two cents after pushing through marathons from one injury to the next this year. But, that said I know you are a VERY smart runner and have been there, done that and gotten the t-shirt. So, you will be the best advice giver to yourself there is! Just play it smart.

Welcome to Texas! Hang in there, Teena!

Read my latest blog when you get a chance..I had a really cool experience on Saturday.

WOW!!! I am not surprised that you ran 10miles in the muggy heat and wind!!! I think you like to live dangerously!!! :)

May be the running gods will gift you a cool run next Monday!!! The pace you run, you will be done before it gets too warm anyway! WAY to go out and acclimatize!!!

Now, a word of caution! Those severe elevation drop in Big Mountain is dangerous to already "icky" shins and trash your quads! Be careful!

I Love you!!!

You would smack me if you read on my blog that I was 'playing with fire'!!! Should I come over and smack you???

Love you sis!

I feel pretty cool today because for once in my life my mileage is higher than yours..for today anyway! :)

You still kick my bootie in pace but we won't talk about that!

Teena, be smart.

Sorry your leg is bad too.

Thanks for all your help yesterday you are truly a great friend to take time out of your busy day to help me find a Doctor.

Kathie, so interesting to read your comments as Teena did the same thing for me in May---she spent all of this time listening to my complaints and then calling around helping me find the kind of PT I wanted (even calling ahead of me to make sure they would squeeze me in). Teena is a saint, a very busy one!!!

Hope all is feeling good!!! We must have run at the same time on Monday.
