12.2 miles, AP 8:39 with JohnnyV and Dave on a different portion of the JRP. (We ended up on 200 South in Salt Lake before turning around. It was fun to be on a different part of the trail.)

This run seemed to fly by. Nice and easy pace with great conversation. Wore my Brooks Flow. I really wish that I would have tried these shoes on a 20 miler. I am kicking myself for not doing that. They just feel really nice to run in. Would it be completely crazy to run Boston in them when I have never run more than 14 miles at once in them? I had planned on wearing my "go to" Adidas Supernovas, but now I am wondering if I should shake it up.

Breakfast with Ry, Annie and Nic after. WAY FUN! Now I really want to go out and run some more. But I am in taper. What to do?

3.26 miles, AP 9:25 with Ry and Sophers :) :) :) That is actually Sophia's 5K PR and it didn't even seem like she was exerting herself!! Running today has been AWESOME! :)

I'll bet that it would be just fine to run the Brooks Flow at Boston. I can't imagine that running 20 miles in them well tell you any more than 12.2! Why dont you run in them the rest of the week and make that judgement after you've got a few mor miles on them. How many total miles do you have on these Brooks Flows?

Slick~

158.75 total miles on them. :)

Totally good to go on those shoes in my opinion. :)

I agree. If you can run 15 miles in those shoes and you've worn them for numerous other runs without problems, you can run the marathon in them. Glad you had nice runs today!

For what its worth, I didn't do a run longer than 15 miles in my Fastwitches before Philadelphia, and they were fine. You can usually tell how a shoe is going to work on a 13-15 mile run.

Sounds like such an amazing day Teena and so so fun that your kids ran with you this afternoon! Yay for your daughters PR. :):) And I definitely agree with Jake. Infact the shoes I am planning to wear for Boston I haven't even worn yet. (exact same style/brand I always wear). I better get them out tomorrow. :)

Thanks everyone. Especially for the advice on the shoes. :)
