Bought new running shoes (isn't that the cure all?) and ate a bunch of stuff that I shouldn't have -- but I was starving and thought I was making a smart selection but everything came drenched in better -- DANG! The asphalt pie was worth it though.

I have never ran in Asics before. I'll test these babies out tomorrow. Oh yeah ... I bought some Superfeet insoles as well. They were more pricey than I expected, hopefully they will be worth it.

If they cost a lot....doesn't that mean they will be great! Good luck on your run

I wanted to go to WRC for their sale...but too busy today.

Hope you like your Asics.

I'm gonna miss you tomorrow. Have a great run and wonderful weekend. LOVE YOU!

Asics are the only shoe that feel comfortable on my feet. I think you'll like them.

From Rhett on Fri, Jul 09, 2010 at 23:28:52 from 184.10.154.170

Asics are usually my shoe of choice, but just today I received a new pair of Adidas Star Ride 2 which are a neutral plus shoe, so I will have a lot of cushion when I get back to running. Like you I was going for the buy the new shoe thing to make me feel better about not being able to run. It worked pretty well. As I sported them around the house tonight, I felt like a runner again.

I hope your injury is feeling a little better today. I'm glad to see you are behaving and not running.

From JulieC on Sat, Jul 10, 2010 at 09:18:31 from 71.35.251.78

that's what injured me and that's what will cure me (NEW shoes). Wish I knew then I was making the wrong choice. They were saucony grids (riders?) zeroed out. Now they are trash. I currently run in ascics cumulus, newest model. I like the older models better, wore four years of them. Dang. So now I will try mizunos. Happy cure!! : D

Rhett...you make me laugh...even in your injured state you are still faster than me

Thanks all! Verdict on the Asics (Allie, they are the asics gel landreths) isn't it yet. Need to give them a few more runs and see how my body responds. :)

MMMMMMM ... asphalt pie, I want another piece. And Tim, homemade asphalt pie is way better anyway. :)

From timp on Sun, Jul 11, 2010 at 12:55:24 from 66.167.51.119

wow - my family would love me forever if I made that for them :)

From Kelli on Sun, Jul 11, 2010 at 14:04:09 from 71.219.99.30

Anytime! I hope you DO make it for them, they will love it.
