update:

On a positive note - my incredible hubby felt so bad for me (as he could see that I was desparately trying to fight back the tears of disappointment) that he told me he had a surprise that he was holding on to and was intending to give me later. He came back with two tickets to U2!!!!! I have ALWAYS wanted to see them in concert but have never been able to. I really am the luckiest woman.

Good for you for listening to your body!!

From Andy on Tue, Apr 06, 2010 at 22:28:06 from 74.211.10.111

Sorry to hear that the test run did not go well. You will get there.

From AmyBQ on Tue, Apr 06, 2010 at 22:28:29 from 68.55.192.111

I hope you feel better soon. I hate when im sick and unable to run. I wish you a speedy recovery. Rest...your body will say when!

Kristi -- Thanks.

Andy -- I hope you are right. And I hope it is soon. How do you feel? I have checked your blog a few times today but saw nothing new. Do you want to have a pity party with me?

Amy -- Thanks Amy. I just hope it says when before Boston. I am fighting back the tears right now knowing that I need every extra ounce of energy to go towards healing! Don't want to waste any on tears! :) :) :)

SSF ~ So sorry that test run was not good. :( I'll keep praying! Keep doing the rehab stuffs, you'll get there!

HOW SWEET that Ry got you tickets to U2!!! Every time I saw that U2 bill board, I thought about you! Love and miss you!

Way cool about the U2 concert. You have a great hubby. Sorry the run didn't go well. Stay positive and keep up the rehab. It's going to all come together before Boston.

From Kathie on Wed, Apr 07, 2010 at 13:27:57 from 63.248.105.188

It will come together with all of us praying for you how could it not!

So cool about U2 your husband rocks!

From RAD on Wed, Apr 07, 2010 at 15:29:47 from 67.172.229.125

jealous SO jealous!! My hubby used to be the biggest U2 fan and between last concert here and this one he's fallen off the wagon and won't even go with me :(

Sorry about the run, but give it time. You felt good yesterday - don't worry about running (easier said than done) just keep up the cardio and let yourself heal. You won't lose it, just hang on! My favorite new quote is: when you get to the end of your rope, just tie a knot and hang on!!!

From MrsFIT on Wed, Apr 07, 2010 at 16:02:03 from 205.127.241.18

U2 tickets, lucky!?! I too am fighting back the tears on more occasions that I'd like to admit. It's so frustrating thinking I'm past this back and hammy issue only to have it come ROARING back at will.

From Kelli on Wed, Apr 07, 2010 at 18:53:30 from 71.219.92.128

U2, huh??? That is awesome!!!

Sorry about the run! Dang it. Take another week off, you have the time. You trained so hard for this race, you will do just fine without the running. In fact, I would join you with the NO RUNNING, but I would get FAT!

From AmyBQ on Wed, Apr 07, 2010 at 22:27:34 from 68.55.192.111

Teena You will do great in Boston. You will not lose anything just rest. You have all you need....stay positive!!
