1500 meter swim: Nice and easy. I can tell that I am out of swimming shape -- but that is to be expected. :)

I feel really good today. My legs feel fine and the right hip tightness is very mild (barely noticeable). I feel as if I could run with no problems. The physical therapist in me is being more cautious acknowledging that 26.2 miles of racing definitely takes a toll on the body. I am committed to waiting at least a couple more days before running/jogging. Possibly waiting even until Friday. :)

Happy Monday, All. :)

I read your race report. You are getting fast. Even when you have a "bad day" you're rocking it! Be smart and listen to the inner physical therapist and take the right amount of recovery. Congrats to both you and Ryan on great races.

Sounds like the recovery is going well.

Rhett

I don't think 9 weeks was a long enough training cycle though. On the positive side it was definitely not too long! Thanks for the kind words. What are your running plans this year?

Dale

I honestly feel fantastic! :)

Teena, my running plan for the year is to build up a strong base mileage and do it for a while so that when I start training for the Phoenix marathon (March 2014) I can really get at it and train hard without getting injured. 41 weeks till the marathon. :)

I'm even trying to follow all the rules of increasing mileage by only increasing 10% per week and taking a recovery week every fourth week.

Nice!!!! :)

Can't wait to see how it goes and all the awesome workouts I am certain you will put in. :)
