18 miles, AP 8:20

LOVED running today!!! :)

Ry and I headed out this morning with the plan of running 10 together and then I would run an additional 8. We ran our 10 with an 8:39 average pace.

The second we got home Sophia informed me that she wanted to run the same distance her older sister ran last night but that she wanted to try and beat that time. She is the most competitive 11 year old girl I know!!! Well ... she hit it!!! We ran 4.75 miles with an average pace of 8:21!! Oliver joined us for the first 1.75 miles. After that she turned on all cylinders and ran faster and faster and faster (with her last mile ringing in at a 7:21). She literally out sprinted me in the end ... I gave it my all but she had me. She had a bit of runner's gut for an hour or so afterwards but she was thrilled with the outcome. Funny girl!!! :)

I then rounded out my 18 with 3.25 on my own at a 7:24 pace (which was definitely a push).

Wish every long run could be this fun!!

Happy Saturday!!! :)

Well that does look like a perfect LR! Awesome miles today! And way to get everyone involved. :) I love how competitive your kids are. That's got to be a blast. You're able to accidentally get a workout in through all of it. :)
