A.M.

7 miles, AP 8:14.

This morning's run was one of the most vivid runs I have ever had. It was 84゜when I started at 5:20 this morning. The sky was black and filled with dark clouds. There was no rain in my neighborhood but lightning was striking both on the east and west side. The dark sky would be lit about with each jolt. Crack, boom! It felt a little eery, almost as if I was being chased. I decided since I was not being rained upon that I was safe. Not sure if that was a correct assumption but I went with it. At about 2 miles large drop of rains started falling. I turned around and headed back home but before I was there the rain had stopped so I headed a different direction. The lightning bolts were becoming less frequent but the wind began to pick up making the uphills seem much longer than usual. The sun began to peep through the clouds and the sky began changing colors, deep blue, purple, pink over the red rock. It was majestic beyond measure. A feeling of complete oneness with nature came over me. Not exactly sure why it affected me this me but everything seemed so alive.

I loved this morning's run.

How beautiful to witness and experience that oneness and aliveness!!! Thanks for describing and sharing!!! What kinda music or tune was playing with this majestic display?

Thanks Toby!

Smooth~ Good question. I don't even remember. When I run with music I just put one earphone in so that I can hear what's going on around me. I had the music turned down low. My ipod was set at shuffle all songs. So anything could have been playing but I have no idea what. Hmmm, funny that I do not remember. But I do remember the cracks of the lightning, the booms of the thunder, and the whistle of the wind this morning.

My first patient isn't until 10. It's been a really pleasant morning. Hope you are off to a great day! :-)

Sometimes I think having a really small waterproof camera would be great for having on these runs. Then i think that maybe some things just need to be left on those runs. Way to paint a picture. Sounds like an awesome run!
