How many chin-ups? Do you still remember the chin-up pull-up contest you set up here on the blog a few years ago? It was so funny! :)

NICE all around workouts this week so far. Love that you're posting daily now. I love you and miss you lots! :)

Better yet:

Here are the rules!!! FUNNY!

PULLUP/CHINUP SHOWDOWN

Rules:

1. Establish where you are at now. Do as many consecutive pullups/chinups as possible and record that number here. (Please note, pullups - palms placed away from your body, will be worth more points than chinups - palms placed towards your body.)

2. Keep track of how many days a week you work on pullups/chinups.

3. Record how many consecutive pullups/chinups you are able to do during the first week of the new year here.

4. Points will be awarded to the improvement in number of pullups/chinups. (Please be honest and indicate your true base.)

Point System:

1.33 points for each pullup

1 point for each chinup

2.5 points if you are starting from zero and are able to do at least one pullup/chinup by the New Year

2 points for each week where you work on pullups/chinups on at least three separate days

(1/4 of a point will be deducted per pullup/chinup if poor technique/form is involved.)

note: All pullups/chinups must be done consecutively with no break from the bar. At time of reckoning one can compete only in chinups or pullups (no mixing allowed).

** If you have any comments, complaints, and/or suggestions about the above stated rules speak now or forever hold your peace.

*** Special rules for Mike (montelepsy) and anyone else who can do more that 5 pullups. If your base for pullups/chinups is between 6 and 10 you only get to add 1 point for each pullup (not 1.33) or .75 points for chinups (not 1). If you can do more than 10 chinups you need to be doing pullups. If you can do more than 10 pullups (like Mike) then you only get to add .75 points for each pullup you add to your base.
