Not a fun day. Short version: Smo has been sick. She was trying to avoid telling us how sick she was because she didn't want to miss her basketball practice or games. Yesterday she took a turn for the worst. Last night when she asked to sleep with me I realized that it was bad (that is so not like her). She woke up in the middle of the night crying that her ear hurt. She had a fever and I was tempted to take her into the emergency department but when she fell back asleep Ry and I decided that one of us would just take her to the instacare in the morning. She was still asleep when I left for work (I didn't run because I had been up with her multiple times and was beat). About an hour after I left Ry said she woke up crying again and this time as she got up blood started pouring from her ear. Ry took her to the Instacare. She had ruptured her ear drum and had a bad infection. She was but on IV for fluids and antibiotic. Poor thing. |
