18 miles: AP 8:18

It was fun to run on the Lehi JRP with so many friends: Smooth, Kelli, Maynard, Kathie, Kimmy, LuzyLew, and Davy Crocket (it was great getting to know you)! I wish I would have known that not everyone was running the same distance because I was so sad to find out the Maynard, Kathie and Kimmy had left without me really having chatted with them! STINK!!! I guess that means we all need to do another run together soon.

Anyway, thank you, SSF for setting this up. You are the GREATEST (and you bring the yummiest oranges as well). I love you!

On a side note, Rachel was able to make it and chat with us in the end. Very cool! AND ... Kelli is unbelievably DIEHARD!!! She is presently running with her hubby after running 18 miles already! Crazy girl!!! The first 10 miles of the run were hilly and if it were not for her I would have taken them so so so much easier!!! She rocks those hills!

(Do I reallly have to study today?)

From jun on Sat, Feb 20, 2010 at 15:51:34 from 97.126.237.192

Big miles. Way to go. Sounds like a great group to spend the morning with.

From crockett on Sat, Feb 20, 2010 at 16:19:55 from 71.32.233.142

Teena, it was great to meet you and run with you. You have some very good speed and should get that sub-3:30. Russell is my favorite villian.

From RivertonPaul on Sat, Feb 20, 2010 at 16:36:10 from 97.49.107.69

Another impressive run.

Russell or Boston Rob, pretty debatable.

From Smooth on Sat, Feb 20, 2010 at 17:00:49 from 174.23.239.148

SSF ~ It was fun watching the backside of you for about 0.5 mile and then never saw you again!!! You are ONE SPEED DEMON!!! You ran 18 miles with serious hills and sub-7 paces to boot! I am NEVER EVER going to be able to catch you, not in my life time! :) You're gonna kick some major trash at Boston! I am SO EXCITED for you! Please don't get injured! I will be so mad and so sad!!! I LOVE YOU!!!

From LuzyLew on Sat, Feb 20, 2010 at 17:02:28 from 69.169.167.157

It was so great to meet you and the others! You kept a great pace today. I was sad too the others only went 10. It was quite the running party, it always is when you bring hot chocolate and oranges, etc. Can't wait for Boston. I hope to make it healthy and a little faster than today. But today was awesome. Thanks for lettng us (me) stink up your car with my smelly post-run funk. SO great to meet & run with your group.

From Rhett on Sat, Feb 20, 2010 at 17:03:04 from 74.32.218.141

Sounds like a fun run.

Study? Nah, you don't have to, but you may not be happy when you get your grades.

From JulieC on Sat, Feb 20, 2010 at 17:16:09 from 70.56.111.7

Great run and pace Teena on a hilly course too!! I read all about these long miles Kelli is doing and I am flakin' if I am supposed to run Squaw Peak the beginning of June. Impressive, you are peaking at a great time, big PR for you coming up :))))

From Kelli on Sat, Feb 20, 2010 at 17:24:15 from 71.219.89.82

I love you, but you are FULL OF IT!!!! You did not mention that after 10 miles I could no longer keep up with you and you TOOK OFF!!! You are amazing and die hard.

Thanks for the first 10 miles, especially for getting me through the fast 5. I do not know how you do that every day, it kills me!!! And thanks for the hot chocolate!!! I came home and checked which kind I have and it is the same, so I must put way too much water in mine because it is not that good. OR maybe it is just that you made it for me with love?!?

Have a GREAT day, do not study too much.

From MarcE on Sat, Feb 20, 2010 at 17:44:30 from 206.225.68.76

Alright, Speedy...either everyone else got faster, or you ran about (9:30's for about half of the distance, and then finished with sub 7:00's..how did that work out for you? I'm so jealous of you and all the cool runners out there! Great run!

Allie --

School-schmool. I am so so so ready for summer!!! :)

Jun --

You need to join us one of these days! :)

Crockett --

You are just incredible!!! Russ is great!!! I love all his comments about it being his kingdom, his palace, etc. He's a riot!

Paul --

I am beginning to really like Boston Rob. Unfortunately, my love, James, was a total disappointment last time. What was up with his attitude? He broke my heart!

SSF --

There were NO sub 7 minute miles. I was so hoping to get one but just couldn't pull it off. I just looked at our splits on Kelli's blog and it was actually just a bit above 7. Oh well, I ran as hard as I could. I think the 3 - 4 running days a week for me has made all the difference in the world. Still no pain meds, anti-inflammatories, etc. I feel great!!! No worries. I am going to be a good girl. I won't do two days of speed in the same week as well. Happy? I love you so much. We need some real SSF time! :)

LuzyLew --

It was GREAT meeting you! You are a riot! I can't wait to hang out with all of you in Boston! :)

Rhett --

Wish so badly that you and Doone could have ran with us. Are you sure you don't want to move to Utah? You are right -- I should study!! :)

Julie --

You and Kelli are BOTH diehard-hardcore girls!!! You both impress me so so so much. Wish you could have ran with us today!

Kelli --

You COULD have stayed with me. You just chose not to because you were going to run an additional 8 miles when you got home!!! 83 miles in ONE week!!!! I could NEVER EVER EVER!!!! You and Smooth with your endless miles put me to shame. Seriously.

Marc --

No sub7s. You give me far too much credit!!! Hey ... if we found someone who wanted a room-mate for Boston would you reconsider???

From Maynard on Sat, Feb 20, 2010 at 21:23:27 from 71.213.23.86

18 at an 8:18 average. I'll tell you one thing, if'n I'd a stayed beyond the 10.8 I did, my day would officially have been over at that point cause there ain't no way I coulda done anything else after. Teena the speedster!

From montelepsy on Sun, Feb 21, 2010 at 06:23:47 from 155.85.58.253

Dang, you got a whole week of running for me done in one day.

From Teena Marie on Sun, Feb 21, 2010 at 10:57:25 from 174.52.45.85

Bradley -- So not true!! You are so hardcore!!! :)

Mike -- Okay, so I have to tell you something. At school, my backpack weighs about 35 pounds, seriously. So sometimes when I have to go from one end of the campus to the other end I try and pretend that I am you running with your big 'ol pack on. I look so so so funny, and usually only get about 15 yards before I stop. :)

From Kelli on Sun, Feb 21, 2010 at 12:04:39 from 71.219.89.82

Teena's backpack weighs exactly half of her weight. It is amazing she does not fall over!!!

Hope you had a restful Saturday, got some sleep last night, and do NO studying and MUCH napping today!

From RAD on Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 16:50:11 from 67.172.229.125

It was wonderful to hang with you and get some AMAZING advice as well! I know I'll get back at it, even if it does take a year :(

You are a crazy amazing runner. Keep up all the hard work - you'll blow Boston away!!

From Teena Marie on Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 23:47:17 from 174.52.45.85

Yeah right Kelli!!! Funny girl!!!

Rachel -- It was great chatting. I was so surprised to see you on the trail! :)
