10 miles

I really wanted to get in close to 15 miles today but it didn't happen. I ran my first 7 miles w/an AP of 7:47 and then bang ... I felt a sharp pain in my anterior compartment. There are some pains that I know I am okay to run through, but my anterior compartment is not one of those. I turned off my watch. I finished with a super easy 3 mile jog. I haven't had any anterior compartment pain for close to 9 months, I'm not sure what happened. I came close to falling a couple of times while slipping on some black ice ... perhaps that was it. I felt fine once I got home, so that is good! I will see how I feel on Monday and take it from there. :)

That is a great 7 miler! I hope that some rest helps. What is it with everyone getting injured? Man, it is making me paranoid. I keep figuring that I'm next. Gulp!

Matt~

Promise me you will be SUPER CAREFUL!!!! We have big plans this year!!!!! :) :) :) I am sure I will be fine.

Lily~

I am very likely just being paranoid! My anterior compartments have always been temperamental ... I just have to baby them a bit. Usually I KT tape them just to give them some extra protection, but I haven't done that since SGM. I'll get back on that for a while. How are you feeling?

I too hope its nothing.....but then again I hope you run smart. I hope you are hitting the core muscle building weights. You strength and endurance come from your core......run smart!!!!!!! Take care of yourself at every opportunity. Listen to your body and obey. If you need a day off or so take heed and do it!!!!

SSF ~ You are a smart girl. I know you will listen to your body. I hope this compartment syndrome thing is short-lived.

Like you said, our bodies will heal.

Sending healing thoughts your way. I love you!

Very smart to stop at the first sign of bad pain. I hope you're doing better today. Be careful on that ice.
