16 miles on the JRP, AP 8:29

* Ran 12 miles with JohnnyV and 4 by  myself. Yep, I toughened up this morning and ran outside at stinkin' 6 in the morning. FAR TOO COLD for my liking!! BUT I LOVED having company and the time seemed to fly by. :)

(How do you all keep your fluids from turning into slush? I couldn't drink any of mine without taking off the lid completely.)

NICE miles and pace!!!! WAY to brave the cold and dark!!! So NICE to have JohnnyV's company!!! :)

I don't carry water since there is an ever-flowing fountain I dubbed fountain of youth at the Alpine park. The fountain is encrusted with ice and still flowing with the yummiest spring water. When I did carry fluid, instead of a fuel belt, I tucked the small flasks in my jacket pockets and that seem to keep them from turning into slush! :)

6 in the morning is the problem. Our race started at 10 (just so I could sleep in) and by that time it was toasty. Great run!

I'm glad you got out, even at 6 am.

Great race last Saturday! That's a great time for a flat half. Keep up the good work.

SSF~

Good thought on the fluid!!! Miss you! :)

Fritz~

Glad that the racing planners were sensitive to your sleeping patterns! :)

Matt~

I just could NOT do another long run alone! I think it is definitely time to get the crew back together. :)

If it's cold enough to turn my Powerade to slush, it's too cold for me! :)
