10 miles, AP 8:55

Nice day on the JRP. A bit windy at times but sunny. :)

I felt ish (not great but not horrible). Breathing was fine but still feel like I haven't a lot of energy. My pace seems to be about 45 seconds off per mile of where I was before I got sick. It'll be interesting to see how long it takes to come back. :)

The 45 seconds is not due to loss of fitness. You are not fully recovered yet. It will come back a lot faster than you think it will. Patience.

WOW! 10 miles at AP 8:55 and OUTSIDE!!! :) :) :) :)

I would be ecstatic if I could run that!

I second Andy's assessment! He is smart and knows what he is talking about! It takes most people at least 2 weeks to recover from pneumonia! Your speed and fitness will come back way faster than you think!

I mean just look at yesterday's and today's run? Your AP improved by 65 seconds! HOORAY!!!

Love and miss you! :) :) :)

Andy and SSF~

I hope you are right. We'll just have to wait and see. I really don't know if there was an improvement from yesterday's run since yesterday I just set the TM to a 10:00 pace and stayed there. Both runs I felt pretty tired, but the breathing stayed in check. :)

Girlfriend, you be careful, your on the rebound and very susceptible to any number of bugs and virus's. Especially after doing an anti-biotics routine!

I'll third Andy's assessment. And second Smooth's assessment that Andy is smart... at least when it comes to running. :)

I concur with what has already been stated. It takes THREE WEEKS OF INACTIVITY for VO2max and lactate threshold to show significant decreases. You haven't been out of the game for that long, so you haven't lost anything. Your body is just recovering from near death (OK, maybe not all that near).

And, remember to TAKE IT EASY! Professor's Orders!

Nothing like easing back into it, right Teena?

Ten miles again! You are either feeling a lot better or just plain crazy!

Nice job Teena, but I'm adding my 'amen' to what has already been said - patience!

Thanks all!!!

I am doing my best to play this one smart! Prof's orders are nothing to mess around with!!! :)
