GREAT day for running!

Met Matt, Smooth, Kathie, Karen and LuzyLew at the JRP this morning! Weather was FANTASTIC!!!

18.5 with mostly Matt and Kathie. It was absolutely wonderful having such great company, wonderful conversation and fun pace. Someplace around 17.5 miles Matt said that we were at a 9:01 AP. Game time. Matt and I took off to see how much we could bring the pace down in the last little bit (he says that is cheating, but I don't agree). Ended up with an 8:55 AP for the total 18.5. He pushed me HARD that last mile!!!! Stayed with him for about 1/3 of a mile, then he surgered and I couldn't match it. Caught up to him, we slowed down for a bit and then I decided to take off to the finish. I thought I was on my own when I heard him right behind me. We jostled for the first position, in the last moment he out did me!!!! STINK!!!!! It was a good matchup though! :)

Got home and ran 3 more with Ry and Sophia (who joined us for the first mile)! It was heavenly! AP 8:44. I feel incredible! :) :) :)

Side note: Kathie ran so so so well!!! She has been worried about Boston -- she shouldn't be! She ran about 30 seconds per mile faster than she thought she would and looked great at the end! I also was able to see Smooth, Karen, and Luzylew run in. They all looked INCREDIBLE!!!!! I am very worried about Smooth's cold though. REALLY REALLY REALLY. I have never met a tougher woman. How she ran today is beyond me!

Teena, thanks for organizing the great course this morning. That was the first time I'd been up that far on the JPR...I hope you don't run so far North by yourself though, it gets a little rough up that way....Thanks for coming back around to cheer us home,Smooth especially--she's such a champion. Whew, I am so glad that's done!

SSF ~ You are doing AWESOME!!! So SWEET to run w/ Ry and Sophia...although I'm a bit jealous! :)

WAY to race Matt at the end!!! You are SO COMPETITIVE!!! GREAT run! Thanks for staying 'till we finish! It meant so much! :) I love you! Wish we had some SSF time together! Oh and THANKS for letting me use her inhaler...it really helped!

Bec~

To be honest with you, I am not exactly sure how I am doing. I have been running decent miles, pain free :), but I have been running many of my miles slower. So who knows. All I know is that I am enjoying myself! :)

Luz~

I am so glad you came to my neck of the woods!! It was GREAT to see you!!! You did AWESOME!!! :)

SSF~

It worked out perfectly. I drove Matt home (so that he could get his case of Gatorade there safely)and when I was driving back I had this perfect view!!! I could see YOU, then Karen, then Luz!!! It was AWESOME!!!! So I hurried and drove back to see you finish. You looked GREAT! I have no idea how you did that being so sick. Seriously. PLEASE, I am begging you, will you rest as much as possible for the rest of today, tomorrow and Monday? Love you so much!

Totally NOT cheating, I love that game at the end of the run! And you brought it way down, that must have been one heck of a fast mile! NICE JOB!

I love it! What a great run for all of you! Keep up the great work. :) :) I was thinking about everyone all morning, hoping it went well! Wow...20.5 miles. That is amazing!! I just love my running friends and how you all help me (and each other) be better people, better runners.

I will work as hard as I can to someday be able to keep up the pace with you two. :) I would love to beat BOTH OF YOU and yes, I hope Matt is reading this. You're goin down you two...

Smooth, I hope you get better soon!

Tim~

Thanks! :)

SSF~

I am sorry that it seems that it has been that long. Some of my favorite running memories from last year were running with you: including Park City runs and our Midnight Marathon.

Admittingly, at times I can be far too self-absorbed in my running. I will work on that. I love you and feel horrible that I have made you feel as if I do not want to run with you. I love you and would love to work out something for this week. I leave for SG on Friday, and have afternoon labs that I can not miss on M and W early afternoons and a test Thursday late morning. However, I could do any late afternoon if you are willing to wait.

Once again, I am sorry for making you feel this way. I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday.

Sounds like great company and a great day of running. You need to kick JohnnyV's trash for not running with you guys (although I'm sure he had a good excuse). I'm happy you are running well again.

From Teena Marie on Sun, Mar 13, 2011 at 18:55:34 from 67.2.100.67

Thanks Paul! :)

I had talked to JohnnyV Friday night. One of his boys had a basketball game Saturday morning, so he had to start his run at 5:30 a.m. We saw him finishing as we were beginning. He looked strong. :)

Wish you were joining us. Hopefully soon. :)

Sounds like I need to join in on another Chump Run...

Nice 20+ Teena!
