Are you going to sing the song that we were singing at mom and dad's yesterday? HAHAHAHA!!! I mean if you're looking forward to a fun afternoon with Ryan than the song works! :)

As always amazing running!

From watchmerun on Mon, Apr 25, 2011 at 17:06:15 from 155.99.201.10

What a workout! Very impressive. I bet you run under a 3:25 at Ogden.

From watchmerun on Mon, Apr 25, 2011 at 17:11:00 from 155.99.201.10

In fact, I think we need to both go out at a 3:25 (7:50s) pace and see if we can push each other to make that happen.

From RivertonPaul on Mon, Apr 25, 2011 at 20:42:55 from 174.255.145.223

Wow that is quite the workout. I am so happy you are running so well.

Sis~

What song was that??? KIDDING!!! :)

Matt~

3:25? That number scares me!!! I know that YOU have it in you, I'm just not certain that I do. I was planning on shooting for a sub 3:30 (i.e., 3:29:59) ... Hmmmm ... gulp!!!

Paul~

It felt good at the time (good in that I was able to do it, not in that it was easy, because it was definitely a push). BUT, I have been tired ever since!! Seriously!!! :)

From Fritz on Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 00:36:44 from 67.182.226.25

You have heard of the Yasso 800s, right? Why else would you run 10, 800s? Basically he says the average time it takes you to run 10-800s is the same time you can run a marathon (jog between should be equal to average time of a 800). Based on this you can run a 3:25 or better!

I didn't know that Josh was moving but it's funny you say that because as I was driving by the office the other day I was thinking about how lousy his office is. Even though a facility shouldn't matter I am sure it will only help his popularity.

From Bonnie on Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 00:43:19 from 64.119.33.134

I agree with Fritz, you are on a roll!! That is one great workout TM!

Have a great evening, welcome home RY!

From Andy on Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 12:28:29 from 159.212.71.173

I'll put a vote in for 3:25 as well. Your repeats were progressively faster so you definitely are in the right place to hit that time. The last few weeks of high mileage are starting to pay off. You have done everything right to stay healthy this training cycle. Don't get overly ambitious and do anything crazy between now and 5/21.

From JulieC on Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 13:17:18 from 70.56.109.101

3:25 or BUST!!! : D

From JulieC on Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 13:17:38 from 70.56.109.101

OR BETTER I MEAN : D

From Smooth on Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 15:11:35 from 67.2.109.10

WOW!!! I am so HAPPY and EXCITED for your past few weeks runs! You are doing AWESOME!!! :)

What a FANTASTIC Yasso workout!!!!!!! EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT run!!!

I agree with Andy! You are going to ROCK Ogden!!! :) What's your course PR at Ogden? I am confident that you will beat that hands down!

Love and miss you! Thanks for coming to the reception and farewell! You are my bestest sweetest SSF!!! LOVE YOU!!!!

From Doone on Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 18:55:47 from 184.10.158.177

I was going to tease you something mercilessly about your "afternoon" with your husband but then I remembered this is a family-friendly site and reconsidered.

You are running so strong. I am getting so excited for your race.

I hope you had a great Easter weekend.

From Kathie on Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 22:02:22 from 97.126.209.130

Wow Teena...I think you could easily do 3:25. Not to add any pressure but I think that time would win your age group!

From Teena Marie on Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 22:17:30 from 67.2.88.232

Fritz~

Does that seem to work for you? Do your race times seem to coorelate with the Yasso prediction? My jogs between are so so so slow (and roughly 80 percent of the time it takes me to run the 800).

I couldn't agree with you more in regards to Josh. The run down clinic will still be there, Josh just had a better opportunity elsewhere. :)

Bonnie~

GREAT to hear from you!!! Thanks for the encouragement. :)

Andy~

No worries, I am much too tired to do anything overly ambitious!!! :) Seriously, I am very much looking forward to my taper beginning next week. I think I have decided on a three week taper instead of a two week taper. What are your thoughts on that?

Julie~

Are you saying that if I don't get a 3:25 that I will magically be given a new bust!!! That would be nice!!! Then again, I'd rather have the 3:25 (but the bust would be a nice consolation prize). HA!!!! :) :) :)

SSF~

My best time for Ogden is 3:38. I think that is why I am so concerned. A 13 minute jump is HUGE!!! I really think I might be pushing it just to get under 3:30. However, I want to see what I can do.

I just love you and your family so much!!!! It was a beautiful weekend!!! LLL LLL LLL

Doone~

Nothing wrong with a little afternoon delight!!! :) :) :) Easter was wonderful! I'll bet you loved having Bish home!! :) :) :)

Kathie~

I wish!!! I checked and it might be good for 10th place! Can you believe that? So so so so many fast women out there!!! :) :) :) (I would LOVE to be in the top 10 of my age group. That would put me in about the top 3% which would make me ecstatic!!!)

From Andy on Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 22:18:34 from 174.52.172.236

Is this song that you are all referring to sung by the Starland Vocal Band?

From Teena Marie on Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 22:23:14 from 67.2.88.232

Andy~

That's so funny that you got that!!! :) :) :)

Did you see my question about tapering?

From Andy on Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 22:59:00 from 174.52.172.236

I like a 3 week taper with the first week being 80% of peak mileage and the second week 65%. The first week of taper doesn't feel like much of a drop off so you don't get too stale.

From Fritz on Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 23:26:36 from 67.182.226.25

I think the Yasso predictions do make sense but only if you have also put in the long runs needed to run a marathon (which you obviously have).

As for me, right now I actually think that my marathon time would be faster than my 800 splits because I never run 800s. Likewise when I was 21, I would run 2:15 to 2:20s but I don't think I could have run a 2:20 then because I didn't have the miles in my legs.

From Teena Marie on Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 12:50:53 from 67.2.88.232

Andy~

If you get a second will you look at the taper in Pfitz' 70/18 plan? I am leaning towards something like that. It is very close to what you suggested. :)

Fritz~

I guess I will never know unless I go for it. :)

From Andy on Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 13:00:31 from 199.190.170.31

What I was suggesting is very close to Pfitz because that is what I use. Definitely use it as a guideline for your taper.

From Teena Marie on Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 13:03:07 from 67.2.88.232

Cool!!! :)

Thanks Andy! :) :) :)

I wish you were running Ogden.
