Probably should not have run ... but did (and am good with the decision). :)

Pain level was about what I had expected during the race (but far worse than I expected the following several days).

Did better than I thought I would have the first half and worse than I thought I would have the second half. My body was just not ready for the miles. Luckily Ashton and Jake ran the final 6.2 with me or I might have walked the whole thing. :)

LOVED being there though as both Annie (my SIL) and Fonz had FANTASTIC races!!! Annie PR'd by roughly 15 minutes and Fonz ran his FIRST marathon in 2:48:xx!!!!!! And get this, his longest training run was a 16 miler. DANG THAT BOY IS FAST!!!! He says he is not going to do it again ... I am going to try and convince him otherwise. :) :) :)

It was fun seeing everyone! I am super ready to give my body a short break from running now. I have been feeling quite worn down these past couple of months and am looking forward to regrouping. :)

Hope you had a nice get away anyway. Was fun to see you!

Happy regrouping! SSF!

I'm sure you'll be back to full strength in no time

I was bummed not to see you at the fires before the race. I heard you weren't feeling well. But, I was pleasantly surprised to see you running after the race started! That's twice I've picked you out of the crowd of thousands of runners (remember Boston 2010? or was it '09?). Glad you finished OK. Enjoy a little time to recharge. It'll bring back the passion...believe me! :)

Take a break and way to run with all that you've gone through.

You had a great race Teena! When you passed me at mile 3 you were looking strong and ready to hit it. SO proud that you were able to finish okay, and I hope the pain has alleviated a bit now.

Good decision on the training!

A break from running is probably just what your body needs. I enjoyed mine over the summer. You did amazing, especially with the injury. Great job Teena.

SSF~

It was fun seeing you as well. Although it was stinky that I both Annie and I were feeling icky and so were pretty much a stick in the mud the whole weekend (we pretty much just stayed in the condo and did the whole "wo is us" thing). :)

Tim~

That is the plan!!! I knew ahead of time that running it was not the "smartest" thing to do, but was willing to suffer the consequences! Still good with that decision and am now ready to really get my body where it should be! :)

Marc~

I **LOVE** it that you can pick me out that way!!!! Seeing you during a race always gives me a little boost! :)

Lily~

I bet you did see him! He rocked it!!!! Seriously, for not wanting to run a marathon and his longest training run being 16 miles ... WOW!!!! He seriously is a stud! Now I just need to try and talk him into running another one! (He is a little upset that he was chicked by two women ... so that might be the angle I need to play!!!) :) :) :)

Rachel~

A lot can change during 26.2 miles!!! :) :) :) I am feeling better every day and have got me on a plan that should help work some of the kinks out. :) How are you doing?

Bish~

Thanks!!! :) I was sad to hear that you are not running Boston this year, but understand the whole timing thing for sure! My goal is to start training for Boston around Christmas ... but until then I am just going to get my body to where it needs to be! :)

way to go, teena! great race. i am glad you were able to run this without further injury, and i hope the lingering pain has subsided since then. giving your body time to "reset" is a great idea -- you'll come back feeling healthy and refreshed!

hope you are enjoying your fall break.
